Now that I’m published, what am I for?

If you’ve been following my online bits and pieces for some time, you’ll know that I’ve used various platforms and generally shifted shape every now and again. But the focus has pretty much always been on writing advice for writers. Since being published, I feel like something has changed, primarily because my audience has evolved. It’s something we all need to be aware of. What do people want? What are we for? These are things I talk about in my latest vlog.

  1. Great post and question. I suppose it comes down to who your audience is and whom you want your audience to be. It would be great to hear more about your book and the one in the making,, but equally it would be good to hear about your experiences as a writer and with the publishing industry. That probably isn’t very helpful. Sorry.

    1. That’s a really helpful point, actually. Who do I want my audience to be? I guess the answer is both readers and writers, plus anyone who’s interested. For some reason, I think being published and, maybe, starting a family, has made me a little more reclusive. Or certainly, more hesitant about sharing what I’m doing.

Thanks for the feedback. Much appreciated.
