A very special announcement

I’ve been wanting to say this for quite some time: A is for Angelica, my first novel, will be published on 1 September 2012.

Yes, it’s true. Last week, I signed a contract with Legend Press and I’ll be working with them over the next few months to get the novel ready for the big day. It’s all terribly exciting. I have my own Facebook page and everything.

You should like me. I mean really like me.

And then there’s this…

Introducing The Broome Cupboard

To help promote Angelica, I’m launching a brand-new-completely-free mailing list. It’s the place to be for:

  • exciting news before anyone else in the whole wide world
  • exclusive content available nowhere else on the internet
  • occasional offers, competitions and giveaways.

Be one of the first to sign up by heading over to my mailing list page. Updates will be occasional but substantial. I won’t send you any old nonsense. Promise.

Thank you, thank you!

That’s it for now, apart from to say a giant thank you to everyone who reads this site and who has kept an eye on my writing journey over the last three and a bit years. I really appreciate the support and I look forward to sharing this next stage of the process with you too.

1 September can’t come quickly enough. I can’t wait to show you my book.

Any questions?

Finally, if you have any thoughts, questions or nice things to say about any of the above, feel free to use the comments section of this post or say hello to me through Twitter.

  1. Congratulations!!! That’s entirely wonderful, Iain–I’m very happy for you. :) I wish you the best over the next six months as you get ready for the big day!

    • Iain Broome (Author)

Thank you, thank you. Hopefully, I’ll be able to share some of the journey and provide some handy insights for others who might go through the process one day.

  2. Congratulations, Iain, and best of luck with the next few months’ preparation!

  3. Great news! I just read the announcement on the Legend Press site. I also just signed with them for my second book, although it’s not coming out until next year – did you slip Lauren a tenner to let you jump the queue? :-) Anyway, hadn’t come across this site before, but I like what you’re doing here. I read the post about sacrifices and can see that you’ve put a lot into the writing process, so clearly you deserve your reward now. Enjoy!

    • Iain Broome (Author)

Fantastic – I think that makes us stablemates, or something, no? Apologies for the queue jumping and thank you for the kind words, much appreciated.

  4. Nice work Iain. Crossing my fingers that you can do a deal with an Australian publisher too!

  5. Fantastic news. Really well done, can’t wait to read it.

  6. Congratulations. Your success has successfully made me feel inadequate and apathetic. To the word processor I go!

Looking forward to you sharing the journey.

  7. Hi Iain

Sorry I’ve got to this news so late – but *congratulations* – very well deserved! I have just entered the Broome Cupboard :) Karen

  8. Just stumbled over these exciting news a couple of seconds ago. Congratulations Iain! Looking forward to exploring your book in September.
