02: Free sample

First of all, a warm hello to all you new subscribers. The idea of this mailing list is to make sure that when I get in touch, it's because I have something exciting to tell or give you. And that's the case today.

Free sample of A is for Angelica

As many of you know, A is for Angelica, my debut novel, will be published in paperback on 1 September. The ebook version hits the virtual shelves much sooner, on 1 August. It's all marvellous and I can't wait for people to read it.

Anyway, rather excitingly, in this here email I'm very pleased to say that you wonderful lot can be the first to take a sneaky peak at the novel. All you need to do is click on the link below and download a free sample, which includes the rather gorgeous cover and the first four chapters.

Although I'm afraid it really rather is a little too late to take on any constructive criticism, I would of course be interested in your feedback, especially if it's along the lines of, 'Iain, that was ace, I'm going to buy the real thing.'

My new website

I do have some other news. On Monday, I finally launched iainbroome.com, my new website. It means that Write for Your Life is no more, but that's not a bad thing. You can find out more by reading this post, which is handily titled, Welcome to my new website.

Babies watch

Thank you for all your kind comments following my announcement last email that I'm going to be a dad to identical twins. Sorry I didn't get round to emailing you back personally, things are unbelievably hectic at the moment and I'm doing my best to keep various plates a-spinning. But I do appreciate it.
