Goodbye sweet monsters
As you might have noticed, Write for Your Life looks a little different. A little less colourful. Barely an illustrated monster in sight.
After much thought, I’ve decided to make the site more about me and less about trying to find an image for posts or entering data into custom fields. I also have many thoughts about blogging that I want to share with you, but that can wait for another time. It’s pretty late, here in the UK.
For now, I hope you like the changes. I must tip my hat in the direction of Stephen Hackett and his what the heck this needs to happen approach to updating a website. And to Shawn Blanc for generally knowing how to organise a link post weblog. Much inspiration.
I’d also like to internet-wave at Joanna Paterson of Confident Writing. It was her recent post on short-form blogging that reminded me: owners of relatively popular websites about writing are perfectly entitled to make changes and be themselves.
Lastly, I would like to thank Matt Pearce and Craig Shaw, two wonderful work colleagues of mine who helped design and build the previous site. What you see now was all done by my own fair hand. Any glitches, please let me know.
