How to subscribe to the RSS feed
If you don't already know, you can subscribe to this website using an RSS reader, like Feedly, Feedbin or NetNewsWire.
Instead of coming back to the site to check what's new, you can head to your reader and read the latest content there instead. And you can do it for almost any website, so your RSS reader becomes your personal internet newspaper or magazine.
It's pretty great. I still use mine every day.
A new RSS feed
As you might know, I recently moved both my newsletter from Substack and my website from Squarespace to a new home here on Ghost. It was a process of much poking and squishing, but now we're here and everything seems to work.
However, there is a new RSS feed for you.
To subscribe to everything I post on iainbroome.com – that's blog posts, newsletters and any other future content, add the following web address to your RSS reader of choice.
https://www.iainbroome.com/blog/rss/
You might even be able to get away with the root address.
If you are currently subscribed to what is now the old RSS feed through Feedpress, that will work for almost another year. But I will then cancel my subscription and the new one (reminder, it's above 👆) will be all there is.
Why change the RSS feed?
First of all, I have found it very difficult to find a way to point that new RSS feed at my Feedpress account. I kind of can't be bothered to waste any more energy on it.
That's mainly because I am far less concerned than I used to be about measuring how many people are reading the site through its RSS feed. Like a lot of internet metrics, it doesn't really matter that much.
So long as there is the option to subscribe via RSS, that's the important thing. And now there most certainly is and I'd be honoured if you do so immediately. I'd be even more thrilled if you signed up to the Draft Mode newsletter.
